First Bit of Info from TGS 2000
Well, Brandon from IGNDC is live from the Tokyo Game Show, and since he is a member of the DC Tech Pages, I got some information from him about what is going on:
Hey gang…really quick from the show…get this…SEGA IS OWNING THE SHOW!!!
Jet Set Radio is absolutely brilliant, and Samba is so much fun. Colin and I played 2 player with the DC Maracas…very cool. Expect some impressions movies, ETC later of both..
Also..Phantasy Star Online…wow. You though Rayman and Ecco are lookers…Wait till you see this thing moving…language thingy looks pretty basic but cool. I am certainly pumped…but man…so far Power Stone is looking like the biggest surprise…awesome environments…
Also..MSR (Metropolis Street Racer) is pretty sweet…great visuals…looking really nice, but the demo was limited..
We will be getting more information on PSO as the evening wears on, hopefully.
On to other Sega news @ TGS…SegaSoft’s online multiplayer game 10SIX will be making its way to the console. This is good news for those who are really waiting for online gaming to commence.
A new, high capacity VMU was also revealed at the show, making it able to download MP3s on your DC VMU. What’s more, headphones can be plugged in as well!
Along with that peripheral, Sega showed many more. An ISDN adapter was shown, as was a cell phone adapter, the Dreameye, a video capture device, the maracas from Samba de Amigo, and…get this…a LAN adapter!
TSSZ has you covered for the TGS. Stay tuned for continuous updates this evening and Saturday.
