Fans React to Possible Sonic Team Multiplatform Direction

From the GHZ Message Board, some reaction to this major news. First, Popcorn:

I mean?! I mean! I mean. I mean, what?!

Well, I guess it’s okay with me– good on ya Sonic Team for leaving Sega before it collapses completely– but I’m concerned about who will actually get the rights for Sonic. Presumably, from a business point of view, only Sega will be able to make new Sonic games… I scary prospect indeed. Still, it’ll be cool to see Sonic Team on the Dolphin. It may even prompt me to buy an X-Box.

Bo: I wouldn’t worry about having to buy a new system to play Sonic Team games any more than you should to play AM2 games… CSK now owns the Sonic Team, and in turn owns Sega. CSK would rather profit from Sonic Team games that sell Sega systems, rather than just games.  I’d say the only thing different will be that CSK pays Sonic Team’s salary rather than SOJ.

And G. Silver: More like CSK hands the check straight to them rather than letting the money trickle through SOJ first. ^_^
