Dreamcast Surpasses PlayStation in Pre-Orders
The numbers are in, and the Dreamcast has broken an American industry record for pre-orders, with 200,000. And this is six weeks before launch.
The PlayStation had the previous record, with 100,000 in 1995.
Sega expects 300,000 DCs to be sold the first 30 days of launch, 1 million by the end of the year, and 1.5 million by March 31, 2000.
These are impressive numbers, but what will really be impressive is if these numbers hold to be true.
