Dreamcast Broadband Plan Revealed at E3
Gaming Age says that 2Wire has formed a partnership with Sega.Com. How will this work? Well, there are two products, the HomePortal 1000 and HP 100. The 1000 model is designed for those just getting started with DSL. The packages includes a modem, network hub, router, plus web server and other software. The 100 model expands upon that, and is designed to get your whole home connected at high speeds. It includes everything mentioned above, but it also works with an existing DSL modem.
So, with these models, it would make sense that with the Ethernet port coming out later this year, gamers could ‘upgrade’ their Dreamcasts to have blazing fast speeds. It sounds very neat, so hopefully gamers will be online via broadband soon.
