Develop Awards Finalists – SI, CA, Sumo, Jacques Get Nods
The year is flying by, so much so that we’re already thinking about E3, Summer Of Sonic and an event that happens every year – Develop. The annual industry awards which are held as part of a conference traditionally held in Brighton in July are hotly contested affairs which specifically acknowledge some of the the more creative aspects.
Speaking of tradition, SEGA themselves traditionally don’t do so well at this event, however their associates often do. So we’re pleased to relay that some of our favourites have got nominations which were revealed earlier via MCV.
Richard Jacques, who is picking up award nominations hand over fist recently for his James Bond 007: Blood Stone score, including an Ivor Novello nomination gets another nod here for best Audio Outsourcer.
Football Manager developer Sports Interactive, a favourite of ours at SW.Com get a finalist berth for best In-House Studio.
Total War developer Creative Assembly get a much deserved nomination in the Visual Arts Category for Total War: Shogun 2.
Whilst Sumo Digital, still very popular in the community after All-Stars Racing get a place in the Best Independant Studio category. Obviously not for their SEGA work over the last year (i.e. none) but congrats to S0L and the crew.
