Deep Silver Shuts Down Shenmue III XBOX One Release Rumors

Rumors popped up earlier this week from an alleged screenshot on Shenmue III publisher Deep Silver that the game may see a release on XBOX One, on top of PlayStation 4 and PC. The game was originally touted as a PS4 console-exclusive.

As seen in the Tweet above, the page also alleged to have displayed a Collector’s Edition and a “Day One” edition for pre-order – the latter of which was not necessarily available to backers who initially funded the project through Kickstarter in 2015.

This morning, Deep Silver downplayed the XBOX listing, but did not say much about the CEs:

Shenmue III’s release was recently delayed to November.
