Castle of Illusion Re-Make Officially Announced
Today, Sega, Disney, and the PlayStation Blog made it official: An HD remake to the 1990 classic Castle of Illusion Starting Mickey Mouse will be available on multiple platforms this Summer.
A trailer and multiple screenshots were released, and all are available below. While the former does not show off any in-game footage, the screenshots show off several polished off 3D areas that call back to the classic Genesis game. Oddly enough, the game is being developed by Sega Studios Australia, which we learned earlier this month would soon close. This may be their last project.
Confirmed platforms for the re-release include XBOX 360, Playstation 3, and PC via Steam. No mention is made in the trailer or press release about a Wii U release. The trailer, high resolution screenshots, and press release are below. Thanks to AugieD and Celso F for tipping us on Twitter.
