Anarchy Reigns European Limited Edition Detailed
Sega has announced today the contents of the Anarchy Reigns limited edition. It looks like European Bayonetta fans are lucky, since the witch will be included as a exclusive fighter for the limited edition. Along with her, two new game modes will be available for those who purchase this special edition.
The first one is called Mad Survival. In it, a three player team duke it out against waves of enemies, like in the normal survival mode. However, these enemies now take the form of the other playable characters in the game, leading to a far tougher series of battles that require serious tactical thinking to outsmart your foes.
As for the second one, is called Dogfight. On it, you see players hanging from helicopters -pelting each other with bullets until their opponents fall out of the sky. It’s quite a different way of fight, so it will make the game pretty interesting.
This limited edition, also called Day One Edition, will be available to pre-order at every retailer around you, if you live in Europe, that is, because it’s a European only edition.
American folks will have to wait until Sega announces how can they get those extra game modes and Bayonetta. But, if you live in Europe, you can buy this limited edition for £19.99 / €29.99 , for both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The game release date is January 11th, so hurry up and pre-order!
…I am legitimately pissed off right now…
There is no way in hell they’re not planning on making this available in the US in some way.
This isn’t a gimmicky collectible that needs to be produced and shipped in limited quantities – it’s something that can be distributed digitally (and is quite probably on-disc to begin with). Even if, for some inexplicable reason, they decide not to offer it as a pre-order bonus elsewhere, I guarantee it’ll be posted as DLC eventually.
I honestly can’t see them going to all the trouble of having that much extra content created for a region exclusive “limited edition”, especially not with Bayonetta being one of the only recognizable draws for what has otherwise been an infamously under-promoted title.
Did you see the poster with the ESRB rating on it? I mean, of course you did, you put it up on the article… but it seems that you omitted that detail
So let’s have a lesson class. What does a poster of a video game with an ESRB rating of M mean? That’s right, America.
