‘Permission To Land’ is the name of the debut album from The Darkness.
The description references are mainly about ‘The Broom Cupboard’. In the late 80’s to early 90’s the children’s TV on the BBC was done with two cameras in a studio that was literally a few metres square. Andi Peters was one of the two presenters during this time. The other was Philip Schofield. There was a couple of puppets who also shared the screen time. Gordon the Gopher and Edd the Duck, both of whom became television institutions.
Edd The Duck (who sported a green mohawk) even became the team mascot for the GB Olympic team in the 1992 Barcelona games.
The last line references the Meatloaf song “I’d Do Anything For Love (But I Won’t Do That)”
