Yes people I am back with another and I must say very good SEGA game that is on the cheap and why is it a very good SEGA game I here you say, well it might be because it is a Sonic game, and it is a game that has a very awesome story to it with a bit action, wit and some dark bits to it as well, I am of course talking about “Sonic Adventure 2 Battle”.

Originally called “Sonic Adventure 2” for the Dreamcast which was released in June 19th 2001 in the US and June 23rd 2001 in Japan & Europe, SA2 then came out on the Nintendo Gamecube where it was called “Sonic Adventure 2 Battle” (released in Japan December 2001, US February 2002 & Europe May 2002). Compared with SA2, SA2B has got a bit more extra stuff to it mainly on the multiplayer section for example in SA2, you would have a choice between Race, Treasure Hunt or Battle Modes and you would only have a limited number of levels for each mode, and you only have the main characters to play as. Whereas in SA2B you would have Race, Treasure Hunt, Battle plus Kart Racing, Chao Race and Chao Karate Modes in the multiplayer part of the game, you would also have a bigger selection of levels to play and plus you could even unlock more levels when you complete the stories in the single player mode and, you also would have a few more extra characters to select instead of just picking the main characters in the game so there is a wider selection of characters and levels to choose from in “Sonic Adventure 2 Battle”.

When the game begins, you get to decide whether to help Sonic save the world or assist Dr. Eggman in destroying it. Living up to his reputation, Sonic races through these stages at a speed which puts most racing games to shame. Constantly changing challenges and engrossing cinema scenes make this game one of the most polished products to hit the market.

Sonic Adventure 2 was originally released for Sega Dreamcast, but the Battle edition offers great new features like a souped-up two-player Battle Mode and an expanded Chao Garden. Chao are cute little creatures, which are very similar to virtual pets. As you progress through the Story Mode, you can pick up Chao power-ups and lost animals. If the Chao Key is found in that stage, you’ll go to the Chao Garden when the stage is completed. In the garden, you can pet your Chao and give them the power-ups, which you found throughout the stage. By carefully choosing which power-ups to give your Chao, you can grow a Chao with customised strengths.

Using the Nintendo GameCube – Game Boy Advance Link, you can move your Chao back and forth between Sonic Advance for Game Boy Advance and Sonic Adventure 2: Battle. There is a Tiny Chao Garden in Sonic Advance where you can feed your Chao and play minigames to earn rings. When you return home, you can transfer your Chao and rings directly back to the Chao Garden in Sonic Adventure 2: Battle. It’s really cool to watch your Chao change from 3D to 2D and back again! In addition to Chao Racing and Chao Karate mini-games, there are many other ways for two players to duke it out in Sonic Adventure 2: Battle. Battle Modes include Kart Racing, Action Race Battles (running and grinding), Treasure Hunting and Shooting Battles. There are many more playable characters available in the Battle Modes, including Metal Sonic, Tikal, Chaos Zero and more.

Without a doubt, Sonic Adventure 2: Battle contains enough action and special features to keep you busy for a very, very long time.
