Fan Fridays: Dynamite Penguins

Harken back to a simpler time, watching old LEGO stop motions online in your parents’ basement. Such innocent craftsmanship gave birth to one of the most charming and yearning atmospheres found on the web, one that YouTuber Dynamite Penguins managed to hone into perfectly. Specializing in stop motion films, this explosive arctic animal has constructed not just one, but two different Sonic themed videos, and let me be the first to say – wow. The attention to detail presented in these are nothing short of astonishing. Everything, and I mean everything is made of LEGO! From the winding shuttle loops, to Sonic’s spin dash, and even just minor details such as the smoke clouds and electric shocks. The final product beautifully realizes that LEGO Movie vibe in such a suit that it’ll leave you grinning from ear to ear.
