A new Nintendo Direct was shown worldwide today. Sort of. As with every Nintendo Direct that airs worldwide it can vary depending on the region. This is no exception as the Nintendo Direct shown in Japan had a segment reserved for Sonic Boom, or Sonic Toon as it is called there, to show off new cutscene and gameplay footage. You can check out the video from the Direct below.
That doesn’t mean other regions didn’t acknowledge Sonic Boom however. It was revealed that after the Direct concluded that the demo to Sonic Boom: Shattered Crystal would come out on the Nintendo 3DS eShop. Keeping to their word that is exactly what happened. It was also announced that Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric on Wii U would receive a demo on December 4th, one month from now.
The cartoon premieres in just a few days and the game releases in North America in less than a week. I’ll be reviewing the cartoon’s premiere episode and Ryan will be reviewing the games.
I will be holding a Q&A all day on November 8th to answer any questions or concerns you may have on Sonic Boom as a whole the best I can. You do not need an account to do so. Stay tuned.
