Radio Redux – The Wrecks Factor
| WHAT IS THE WRECKS FACTOR? | |
| The Wrecks Factor is the now annual end of season competition that pits Sonic Fan against Sonic Fan in a battle to see who can sing the best – its become quite the institution! The rules are fairly simple, we want you to produce a version of an existing video game song. Sonic, SEGA or otherwise. Bonus points are given for creative variation – be it sung in another language, in a duet or in some way different to its main competition.If there’s enough entries we now split into two groups with the "known" faces of the Community and previous winners forming the "All-Stars" group and the second group forming the "All-Commers" group. There is a penalty for coming last in the all-stars category however… you must produce another song of AAUK’s choosing it could be anything – the worst he can think of!!! We’re also famed for getting in the odd guest judge, representatives from SEGA and Bentley Jones have judging entries of the Sonic kareoke competition with a difference. |

| WRECKS FACTOR 2013 ENTRIES NOW OPEN! | DEADLINE FOR ENTRY: APRIL 30TH 2013 |
| The 2013 competition is now accepting entries! We reward creativity in terms of performing tracks in new languages, having one set of lyrics to the tune of another, we’ve even had people create their own remix and sing to that. The song is then judged on Technical and Artistic merit by up to four judges from the community and then once any creative bonus are added we declare a winner. Previously the only real rule was it had to specifically be SEGA or Sonic related. WELLLLLL not anymore. The limits have been lifted – you can do whatever video game music you like. SEGA, Nintendo, Square, Bioware, Sony, Capcom, Bandai Namco – the works! So long as its video game music. Singing a Yellow Submarine because it was in Rock Band: The Beatles won’t get you zip for creativity. Perhaps you’ll sing the Pokemon theme in Brazilian. Perhaps you want to take on one of ANARCHY REIGNS themes since there’s instrumentals for all of those? Whatever! We look forward to finding out what you sent in!
