Sonic the Fighters, Fighting Vipers and Virtua Fighter 2 cover arts, revealed
There is still no official word on Sonic the Fighters, Fighting Vipers and Virtua Fighter 2, three of the five games from the Model 2 Collection announced in Japan a few days ago, but now we have the cover art for them.
NeoGAF user CrunchinJelly posted an image showing the three cover arts,coming from Xbox Live Arcade, but no more info on it. We don’t know when the games are going to be announced here, or if those three are the only ones who reaches the west, since no word has been heard about Virtual On and Virtua Striker.
We will have to wait. Until then, we can look at this cover arts for Sonic the Fighters, Virtua Fighter 2 and Fighting Vipers at XBLA.
Image for the Sonic cover image seems to have ‘been removed’.
I’m starting to think SEGA pays Microsoft to ‘leak’ information about upcoming games. I mean really, leaks are how we all get hyped and everyone has been spamming them lately. Remember Generations? Lots of screenies were leaked from Xbox.com.
I’m pretty sure Chaos has the point of points here.
@Chaos905:
Yeah, pretty much this, as crazy as it sounds. We saw Episode II for the very first time thanks to them.
@Haru All the artwork is merged into one image. 😛 So it’s not just the Sonic picture that’s missing, it’s the WHOLE THING! Someone may want to do something about this…
Virtua Fighter 2 cover could be better I guess.
Chaos: Seriously, it’s only SEGA that this happens to and they treat it like it’s an accident every single time only to be covered up right afterwards.
They’re honestly terrible liars: why they don’t come out and admit they have MS ‘accidentally’ leak game info from time to time is beyond me. Otherwise I’ll have to settle for the other easy answer: that SEGA is just that incompetent.
I’m totally getting VF2 and Fighting Vipers.
@Chaos9051 @Haru
These games have been officially announced for XBLA there is nothing to leak. There is no conspiracy Xbox.com leaks stuff about plenty of other games, the reason is that it’s terribly designed and randomly makes info written up in advance and supposed to be hidden from view public. It also doesn’t help that SEGA is incredibly incompetent

Thanks for all the replies, I feel so popular. But really website domains are one thing, screenshots, videos, and information are other things. Those SA3 domains probably aren’t anything, but since Sega hired the Knux rapper again, idk 😀 . LONG LIVE SANIK DA HEDGJHAWG!
I’m kind of happy that there is this sort of suggestive cooperation between SEGA and Microsoft. SEGA has been releasing so much good stuff, promoting Sonic, their name, and putting themselves into movies. Kinda makes me wonder if all of this is adding up to something… (NO NOT SA3)
I’m looking forward to Sonic the Fighters. I thought it was fun. Though, Metal Sonic was fucking cheap.
