Rock Band is a great game but many in Europe have been unable to play it thanks to the vertically steep price it was released for. On launch day the recommended retails price for the game was a whopping £180, almost double the price for the Us release. Obviously there were some deals to be found out and around the place and I managed to buy the game after exchanging £150 English pounds but that’s only because I’d saved.
Now more people might be able to enjoy Rock Band in all its multi peripheral glory for a much smaller price. EA have dropped it to a much more reasonable £109.99 as of today. Surely if the game had been released for that sum it would have enjoyed a lot more success.
If you’ve got some friends who like Guitar Hero style music games and one that doesn’t mind singing I urge you to buy the game as at a party it’s an experience equalled only by being in a real band. Trust me, I should know, I’ve done both!
