DC Tech Pages No More?
Not quite, but due to Sega’s new business strategy, administrator Dural has some changes in store for the DC Tech Pages:
This site will never become a multi-platform site, and the reason why is that I have never seen a multi-platform site that is not full of arguments. I have a hard enough time keeping you guys in line when it comes to swearing, and I am certainly never going to keep two console fans at bay. Forget it. NEVER!
This site will remain SEGA oriented and still contain Dreamcast information even if the system is dead. The information is still interesting in a historical sense. I am even in the process of updating the whole site, which I want to have up later this week.
In the future (sometime in 2002) I will decide on X-Box or Gamecube, and after I decided, I will ask all the current users to indicate what fan they are. If you are not a fan of the system that I choose, then you will have to leave. I know that sounds harsh, but I see no way around it. I am not going to moderate a multi-console site, and I don’t care how many people help me out, and how many people indicate they will behave. It just cannot work, and like I said, I have never seen a multi-console site that is not full of constant immature arguments.
Dural has ruled out any possibility of Sony discussion coming to the Tech Pages.
