Radio Redux: The Final Show (And Six Others) Available Now

Last week marked, dare I say it, a little landmark in the Sonic The Hedgehog community as Radio Redux, the podcast radio show that had been with us here at Last Minute Continue/Sonic Wrecks for eight years came to an end in a four hour plus spectacular. The twenty-eighth episode of our eighth season and the 200th episode overall brought the curtain down on a series that was, despite all the changes in and around the community and even those of my own life, it has been a near constant presence.

We’ve just finished uploading all the remaining episodes and these are now in the RSS feed, meaning that if you are a subscriber to the Radio Redux iTunes page you should get these relatively shortly I hope. The are also available from the RR Season 8 listings page.

“The Final Show” amongst other things contains The Wrecks Factor 2013, a visit from Blake and Ram, the surprise return of Chaotix X and a world first exclusive track from our old friend Bentley Jones in the J-Pop selector. If you’ve ever wondered what it’d be like to hear BJ rework the theme tune to Neon Genesis Evangelion you’re in for a treat. It has also been extended with additional tracks I had intended to play but did not have time to, whilst the epic intro containing clips from all 199 episodes of Radio Redux prior has been sliced off into its own entity (“The Before The Show Show”) for those who don’t want to sit through it. It also has been extended and now includes additional clips from Radio Redux LiVE, TallGuy’s Sonic Generations shows, the PES-Association Football podcast, as well as that time one time Takashi Iizuka appeared on one of the Radio Redux: Guest Control shows. Despite this loss of the intro #828 clocks in at over 4 hours and 50 minutes and becomes the largest show ever produced.
