Sonic the Comic: 20th Anniversary Cancelled!

Sonic the Comic was first launched in the United Kingdom back in 1993 and over the years has become a much institution of exciting Sonic stories that continues on to this very day. With that in mind the comic approaches it’s 20th Anniversary this year, a fantastic milestone in it’s own right. But unfortunately the celebrations will have to wait after a freak accident this morning.

Details are very sketchy as to what happened or how, only that StC’s own Megadroid has been seen on Social site announcing this unfortunate news.

“Unfortunately, Boomers, all of our scripts were lost in an accident involving a paper shredder and a fire. As such, the anniversary is cancelled. Instead, a nine-part Wonder Boy epic starts next ish!”

Although this is such a tragic accident to occur at such a time, it’s great to see StC are well prepared with back up plans in the form of a special nine-part Wonder Boy story that promises to be “epic”. We can hardly wait and see.

Let us know what you think to these developments. Are you disappointed?  Are you excited for the ‘Wonder Boy’ epic? Sound off in the comments below!
