Sonic 2006 Gets The Rifftrax Treatment

In the 90s, a small little show was made that changed the way we look at movies forever. Mystery Science Theatre 3000 (or MST3K) took hilariously bad movies and proceeded to add their own commentary and jokes over the top of it. With infamous films such as The Hand of Manos featured, it was a big success and is still fondly remembered today. Although the show is no more, its spirit lives on through entertainers such as the Nostalgia Critic and Spoony, along with the site Rifftrax, where you can buy and download commentaries for more recent movies (such as the Twilight series and the “famous” movie The Room).

The MST3K alumni consisting of Michael J. Nelson, Kevin Murphy, and Bill Corbett (the official Rifftrax crew) now take their hand at riffing off famous scenes in video games. In a special video done with Joystiq, they mock games such as Mega Man 8, Metal Gear Solid 4, Final Fantasy X and – you guessed it – SONIC the Hedgehog (or Sonic 2006). Just a warning – there is some suggestive and mature language in this video, as well as some awful, awful laughing.

Currently LMC's resident reviewer, I also take a huge interest in anything from Nintendo to Square-Enix, and beyond. My interests are certainly random, as are the games I review and enjoy.
