COMIC NOTES
  • ‘A Broom With A View’ was completed 13/03/06.
  • The title is obviously a pun on the famous film ‘A Room With A View’
  • Tate & Lyle produce sugar.
  • "Everywhere I look is a darkness." Is a line from the McLusky song ‘Without MSG I Am Nothing’.
  • The goat decription obviously refers to the Billy Goats Gruff story.
  • ‘Permission To Land’ is the name of the debut album from The Darkness.
  • The description references are mainly about ‘The Broom Cupboard’. In the late 80’s to early 90’s the childrens TV on the BBC was done with two cameras in a studio that was litterally a few metres square. Andi Peters was one of the two presenters during this time. The other was Philip Schofield. There was a couple of puppets who also shared the screen time. Gordon the Gopher and Edd the Duck, both of whom became television institutions.
  • Edd The Duck (who sported a green mohawk) even became the team mascot for the GB Olympic team in the 1992 Barcelona games.
  • The last line references the Meatloaf song "I’d Do Anything For Love (But I Won’t Do That)"
